Maple Sourdough Banana Bread

I received some sourdough starter from a friend at church about 4 months ago, and I absolutely love it! I have tried MANY recipes with my new starter and this one just might be our favorite so far!

Start with two large bowls. Mix the dry ingredients: 2 cups all purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt in one of the bowls. Put the bananas in the other bowl and smash them with a potato masher. Add the rest of the wet ingredients: 3/4 cup maple syrup, 1 stick(1/2 cup) melted butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 egg and 1 cup sourdough starter to the mashed banana and stir well. Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the flour mixture:

Bake at 350°F for 55 to 65 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean. Dump the bread out of the pan and place on a rack to cool.
