The weather warmed up and we have been scrambling trying to get the garden in, finish up our homeschooling for the year, care for all the baby animals around here AND we are getting ready for our very first farmers market this weekend! We have been working on perfecting our handmade, farmhouse signs all winter, and now we have enough to start selling online and at the Hood River Farmers Market!
As you can see we make both framed signs and barn board signs. Jess and I make a good team when it comes to sign making (and life). He makes the frames and preps the barn boards and I do the painting. Then we both get to stain them.
The frames are made from locally sourced blue pine and the barn boards are from old falling down, homestead barns that we find in our area.
It has been quite the adventure so far and we are looking forward to selling them!
