Our Month In Photos - February 28th 2018

We finally got a little winter weather now that winter is almost over!

The snow came….

the dogs LOVED it….

the chickens hated it…

the humans tolerated it…..

Then came the wind! These are three huge trees that blew over in the court house lawn of our little town. It was some serious WIND! Very thankful we had no damage at our house, just lots of branches to pick up.

In other news, Jess sold his excavator! Here it is all loaded up and ready to go. Kind of a bitter sweet day. If you want to know why we sold it and you haven’t seen it yet, we made a Youtube video all about it. It’s our first vlog and there will be more to come as soon as our new computers get here!

Super excited about the new faucet we installed yesterday! This is going to make many tasks much more convenient but, the biggest reason for the new faucet is Rani! She is Jess’s disabled sister and I wash her hair in the sink a few times a week. This faucet is going to make that task so much easier and quicker! I’m also imagining that it will make washing huge pots during canning and butchering season much easier too!! Yay for little blessings!

Happy March to you all and God bless!!!

Instagram post 2223014225901625658_2218172047 The sunset tonight was incredible! If God can paint a picture like that here, it blows my mind to think what heaven will be like! #godscanvas #heaven #winter #sunset #ourview #pnw #klickitatcounty
Instagram post 2220101577480539221_2218172047 We've had all sorts of weather today. Snow, rain, wind, fog and a little bit of sunshine!

Instagram post 2216477372113435668_2218172047 This handsome guy is due for another check up at the vet. We're praying the special diet he's on is helping with his kidney function. He's been more active and super naughty lately so we're thinking it will be good news😂. #hounddog #rescuedog #dogsofthegorge #ruralliving #pnw #farmanimals #huntingdog

Instagram post 2212814907873718384_2218172047 Another day, another Dr. Appointment. We've decided to call them dates. We're together, we have uninterrupted conversation and we usually eat at some point. I think that qualifies as a date! Probably the only good thing about Jess's degenerative spinal issues and most Dr's being 2 hours away! We will have lots of dates in 2020! 😍❤
Instagram post 2211931613758044822_2218172047 Morning chores with Olie are never dull! He knocks things over, climbs up my pant leg, is constantly tripping me, harasses the chickens and sticks his tail up my nose everytime I bend over to collect eggs.😼 It's a good thing he's cute!😻

Instagram post 2211234761337251555_2218172047 2019 was a year of trying new things. Some of them were successes and some complete failures. I'm okay with the failures though, because we learned...A LOT! Lord willing we'll take those lessons learned into 2020 and have even more successful ventures! Happy New Year friends!
