This is actually two weeks of photos. I didn’t manage to get a photo post out last week. I have come to realize that August is hands down our busiest month! The fair, a crazy amount of birthdays, getting ready to start school, harvesting and trying to use and/or preserve garden goodies are all happening. We have more animals right now than we EVER have. Then we decided to add goats to our craziness this past week. If you watch the video you will see that we had more than a little MESS to clean up in the barn to prepare for goats. Then Jess and Dusty had holes in the fence and barn walls to patch up. Learning to milk a goat has also been quite the experience the last few days, but also fun, and eventually successful! Now I just need to learn how to make goat cheese and goat milk soap! Hope you enjoy the pics and crazy video of our last couple weeks…
The garden is doing GREAT!
Finally a successful lettuce harvest!
This is Daphne, our 3 year old LaMancha dairy goat and her babies that are half LaMancha, and half Boer.
Our first sunflower to bloom this year!
Have a blessed week!

They are! But, we are all getting used to each other!

It was so good to see your acres this morning. Takes me back to my childhood where we had cows, sheep, chickens and other farm animals. More time spent in the hay barn than in the house!

Life on the farm! Loved how Rebel is right in there helping out! I learned a lot about ducks too! Good luck with the goats! Yeah and that bug – gross! 😄
