This is three weeks of photos and I wish I had taken more!  It was a whirl wind of busyness with the fair and starting school!  The garden is exploding and I haven’t had time to deal with it properly, and because we’ve been gone so much the fridge is overflowing with eggs and goat milk!  I’m hoping next week finds us easing into our school year routine and having somewhat of a “schedule” again.

The girls hard work paid off with their broiler chickens and Pekin ducks, they both made $300.00 at the livestock sale!  This is Jo with her reserve champion market chicken.

She also got judges choice on her watermelon and Mary got judges choice on her 4-H book!

Chocolate cherry tomatoes did very well too!

They showed their ducks for showmanship and both got blue ribbons.

Do you have sheep dressing at your county fair?  Hilarious!  My sister is in one of those groups.

I love how our chickens are turning our kitchen and garden scraps into meat and eggs!  We processed the broiler chickens shortly after the fair and now are down to 1 rooster and 4 hens that I kept for breeding.
